Wendy van Wilgenburg

Wendy van Wilgenburg is a trained cultural and visual anthropologist and conducted research in the Philippines, Guatemala, and Nepal, in combination with film projects. She teaches courses in film making in the Netherlands, Belgium and in Spain, creates short film for museum exhibitions and has enjoyed making her own documentaries, for over twenty years now, with a specialization in films on craftsmanship.

Her latest film is an assignment for the Dutch Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage, in which she follows a traditional shepherd for a year. The film will premiere in 2021.

Wendy is the founder and director of the Craft in Focus Festival, an annual international, interactive event focusing on master craftsmanship, held in Amsterdam and New York City. With spin-off events like symposia, film festivals and educational projects.

For Daniel Erasmus and the DTN (Digital Thinking Network), a leading consultancy in scenario thinking, she works as a consultant / editor. She has edited over three hundred interviews with top specialists, into thematic, insightful compilations, to be used during strategic workshops.
